General description
The historic setting of Canterbury provides a unique location for the largest Festival of Arts and Culture in the region. This year’s Festival runs from 13-27 October and showcases the very best in local, national and international talent across the art forms with a particular focus on classical music.
Performance space details
Classical concerts in the Cathedral are staged in the Nave, the Quire and the Crypt. Theatre and contemporary music is staged at the Marlowe Theatre (995 capacity), Gulbenkian Theatre (350), St Mary’s Hall (100). World music is staged in the Festival Club (150) and Orange Street Music Club (100).
