General description
Horsham Music Circle, founded in 1942, holds an annual subscription series of 8 concerts including Early Music, chamber music, solo recitals and lighter programmes. The audience consists of members (135 subscribers) and non-members from the local community and neighbouring towns within a 25 mile radius. The series is funded by members’ subscriptions and fundraising, grants from Horsham District Council, occasional sponsorship from local businesses and subsidies from Making Music and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Performance space details
The venue - The Capitol in North Street, Horsham - has a 423 seat theatre, 2 cinema screens and a studio. The ‘art deco’ style venue hosts drama, dance and music of all forms as well as being host to local societies. The venue is accessible for those with disabilities; has Sennheiser hearing equipment, ramped access and adapted toilet facility.
