General description
Chamber Music, Early Music, Solo Recitals, Jazz, Folk, Chamber Choirs, Exhibitions, films. Artists include Evelyn Tubb, Catherine Mackintosh, Piers Adams, Michael Copley, Takashi Tsunado, Sharona Joshua, Christian Garrick Quartet, Roger Nichols, The Corelli Orchestra, Trefor Smith, Robert Markham & Ulrich Heinen, The Birmingham Contemporary Music Group. Base funding is from Town Council and irregular support from County Council and other sponsors. The audience is gathered from a wide rural area.
Performance space details
Lion Yard, Broad Street, Leominster
The recital Hall is a Grade II listed 18th century Ballroom situated on the first floor with lift access and new Steinway ‘B’ grand piano. It is a double cube and has excellent acoustics for smaller scale performances and high quality recording.
